XBL Tuesday: Check Out This Week’s Xbox Live Deals

XBL Tuesday: Check Out This Week’s Xbox Live Deals

Vincent Parisi 19 Feb

Every Tuesday, Microsoft updates their Xbox Live service with a few deals exclusive to gold subscribers. This week, those deals focus heavily on The Elder Scrolls franchise. Additionally, there are monthly price drops on various Xbox Live Arcade titles, which trickle out incrementally each week.

For those who’ve yet to pick up a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you’re in luck. The digital version of the game is currently $20.00 off, making the Xbox Live download only $39.99. If that’s not enough, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is on sale as a digital download for only $9.99, a discount of five bucks. If you already own Oblivion but never got around to purchasing some of the substantial DLC (yeah, yeah, horse armor. LOLZ) you can download the Shivering Isles and Nights of the Nine add-ons at a discount as well. The former is going for 600 Microsoft points, while the latter can be purchased for 200 points. (Each are half off.)

If you’re more in the market for some arcade titles, there are a number of them selling at a discounted price this month. The following games listed will be accompanied by their current sale price (in terms of Microsoft points):

  • Alien Breed Episode 1– 400
  • Alien Breed Episode 2– 400
  • Alien Breed Episode 3– 400
  • Battlezone– 320
  • Centipede and Millipede– 320
  • Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale– 800
  • Haunted House– 400
  • Missile Command– 240
  • Tempest– 240
  • Worms Ultimate Mayhem– 800
  • Worms 2: Armageddon– 400
  • Yar’s Revenge– 400

Some pretty good deals in the arcade department. I’m not fond of purchasing the digital versions of full console games just yet, I’d much prefer to own the disc, so I even if I didn’t already own both Oblivion and Skyrim, I’d probably opt out. Those DLC deals are solid though, for the few who haven’t yet purchased them.

Do any of you plan on taking advantage of this week’s gold deals? What about the arcade titles being offered? If you happen to pick any of them up, be sure to come back and let us know how you like them.

About The Author

Vincent Parisi

I guess I'm the typical, modern day nerd. I was raised right on Batman: TAS and old-school TMNT. I've been a core gamer since I was 2 years old (I was beating Mario before I could finish sentences) and haven't thought twice about it since. My favorite game genre is RPG for sure. I love the advent of channels like Nerdist and Geek and Sundry, and will never turn down an invitation to a Con. (Though I don't cosplay... yet.) I hate not owning the latest and greatest gadgets and aspire to find my place in the world of game journalism. Favorite Games: The Mass Effect trilogy, Super Mario World, the BioShock series, the Ratchet and Clank series, anything featuring Nolan North. Favorite shows: FireFly (Browncoats, unite!), Bones, Castle, Spectacular Spider-Man (RIP), Transformers Prime. Anything featuring the voice talents of Steve Blum, Gina Torres, Ashley Johnson, or Yuri Lowenthal. Favorite Comics: Amazing Spider-Man (Thanks for the memories), most things featuring Batman, any one where Green Arrow makes an appearance.
