The Playstation Store is hosting some great deals these week, as both Square-Enix and Namco Bandai are slashing the prices of some of their most popular digital games in half.
This week marks the beginning of a month long sale on Namco Bandai games across all Sony platformers, including the PS3 exclusive One Piece: Pirate Warriors (marked down to $24.99,) Ridge Racer 7 3D Edtion ($9.99,) and Touch My Katamari on the Vita ($12.49.) All the DLC for Dark Souls, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, and One Piece have also had their prices slashed by fifty percent.
Final Fantasy’s big 25th anniversary was actually a few weeks ago, but for some reason Square-Enix decided to wait until now to celebrate FF’s big birthday. They’re marking the occasion by offering 50% off on most of the Final Fantasy related content available on PSN, including the downloadable versions of PS One classics like FF7, 8, and 9, as well as more recent PSP games like Dissidia Duodecim and Final Fantasy Tactics. PROTIP: If you’re going to pick up FF Tactics, make sure you get the PSP version and not the original PS1 version (which is also on sale,) — while the PSP version unfortunately sports longer load times, it features a superior translation and extra content that make it the definitive version of the game.
The Namco Bandai sale runs until March, while the discounts on the Final Fantasy games will only last for 2 weeks.
