The guys over at Engadget revealed two smartphone models that comes with a unique feature; it also moonlights as a walkie-talkie device. The story behind this is that they were approached by some Chinese guys over at CES who showed them their products , the Runbo X5, Runbo X3 and Runbo X1.
What’s even more amazing is that these models are designed to be rugged and come with an IP67 certification. The devices are waterproof and can withstand several drops off a concrete floor. The bad news, when the X5 was dropped a couple of times the screen broke. Company CEO Jemes Yang said that the large screen of the X5 which makes it closer to the edge is one contributing factor as to why it broke. He said that he will remedy this by increasing the rubber and plastic surrounding the glass. The other models, though, fared well in the drop test.
