Already played through this season’s big new titles and need something else to play over Christmas break? Well, the fine folks at Good Old Games have you covered: the popular retro download service started their annual Christmas sale today, and in addition to the hundreds of games on sale, the site has also made the classic raunchy corridor shooter Duke Nukem 3D free for a limited time.
While Duke Nukem 3D wasn’t the first Duke game, it was definitely Duke’s most popular outing, and it’s juvenile humor and polished game play are still just as good today as they were in the 90’s. DN3D is still definitely worth playing today, and at the low price of free, there’s no reason not to give it a shot. I guarantee you that it’s still better than Duke Nukem Forever.
In addition to Duke, hundreds of other classic and indie PC games are currently on sale on GOG.com, including classics like the legendary RPG Planescape: Torment, the original Fallout, the entire Myst series, as well as newer titles like Deponia and To The Moon. New games will go on sale every day until the sale ends on January 3rd. As always, downloads on GOG are completely DRM free.
