“Shh, did you hear something? Steve?”
Steve is dead my friends, but did he deserve it? Was he an innocent bystander or your next target? Well, if you want to sneak into the Kingpin’s room, you need to look like one of his men. Steve was just your size. As you shove his body into the broom closet and equip yourself with his pistol, radio, and wedding ring, you hold your breath and wait for your new “boss” to engage in his dinner. How will you put him down? Silencer, poison, broken neck, or perhaps your trusty, no fail friend, the fiber wire.
A game far from parent’s approval but far from boring and seeing as you’re usually taking down the so called “bad guys” in this game, it’s okay, right? Although most people associate the first Hitman game as “Hitman: Bloodmoney” released in 2006, it is actually the 4th installment of the franchise. The first Hitman game was titled, “Hitman: Codename 47” and was released back in the year 2000.Mostly likely not as well known because it was just for the Pc.
We have come a long way baby! Due to be released this November, the 20th to be exact, Hitman: Absolution, the fifth installment of this franchise is offering even more new features to the game. To name a few, Agent 47 can now obtain stealth more effectively by using the shadows around him to hide in. You can kill people that are a ledge above you, choke thy enemy with thy bare hands. Take out multiple targets at the same time. Agent 47 now uses more instinct to act inconspicuously with whatever or whoever he’s trying to portray (in a police officers’ uniform, just go ahead and walk around slowly while eating a donut or drinking a cup of coffee, etc).
The story of Absolution is rumored to be about Agent 47’s betrayal and the assassination of Diana Burnwood, whom was his former pal and boss that gave him his missions in the other games. As in all previous Hitman games, People in the game, good, bad, innocent react to your every move, so if someone see’s you murder someone, they will run away screaming. So It does pay to be as stealthy and “professional” as you can, cleaning up your messes as you make them. Even running down a slow moving sidewalk of pedestrians will attract attention! And since the police are looking for you in this game, it pays to blend in. Don’t walk where you should run, and don’t run where you should walk. On should be off, and off should be on, etc. Pretty cool if you ask me.
The game is available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. A few websites offer better deals than others if you plan on pre ordering this game. Amazon is asking $58.99 and gives you the Bartoli Custom Pistol and High Tech suit, offering a 50% increase to your armor. Wal-Mart wants $59.96 and offers the Krugermeier 2-2 Pistol and a High Roller suit. No details on any added buffs from the suit, but the pistol is said to have a built-in silencer and deemed perfect for short range shots.
GameStop’s price is $59.99 and is giving you a Sniper Rifle! Bam! That sold me 🙂 Oh sorry, so, Sniper Rifle: Agency Kazo TRG, modernized sleek design that is fully upgradeable with silencer AND scope. Niiiiiiice! Also, you will receive a code for “Hitman: Sniper Challenge” if that’s your thang! Best Buy? Boooo. No added anything. Full price of $59.99. I think Agent 47 should make a little stop to the store with the yellow tag. Just to say Hello, of course 😉
