Ubisoft did it again with the newly released Assassin’s creed 3. This time the game is taking place during the American Revolutionary war. Play as Connor Kenway, a Native American assassin, who fights to protect his people and his land that is rightfully theirs. As seen in the previous Creed games one could say you kill for the greater good. Taking a peek back we look at the first of this thrilling line of the killer elite with the original Assassin’s Creed. Here you played a character by the name of Altair with the goal of stopping the Third Crusade from ripping your sacred Holy land to pieces. Not to mention there was the Saracen side also being a problem.Mainly you were trying to calm the drama between the two so your people and can be at peace. Of course not all people wanted peace as you may have experienced when some of the villages reacted to your decisions by calling the guard on you. There is always a good Samaritan somewhere though and if you’re lucky you will cross paths and they will help you out. Birds gave away hints to high points in the game with the goal to climb up there and get an aerial view of the map whilst peeking down to witness any movement you haven’t noticed earlier. We all know the most exciting part was diving off into a soft pile of hay, which retarded guards didn’t notice. The punishment for being so un-objective? Death! 🙂
The second installment put’s in you the place and time period of the Italian Renaissance. Here you control the assassin Ezio. The landscape here was more open so you were able to scale the sides of settlements or high walled villages and stay on the rooftops most of the time, if you so wanted. Periodically sneaking in threw the open roof of a shop where your informant would keep you updated on what’s going on and what to do next. Getting chased by guards I found rather fun free running the topside of buildings gathering groups of them up only to jump into a little hideaway while the pea-brains scatter around thinking I just disappeared. A few always lingered looking down upon the ground level. Ha! You guessed it, equals death 🙂 Only this time there are more weapons to yield then our friend Altair had in the previous game. These weapon designs came from Leonardo Davinci himself! My favorite part of this game? Once you got to your objective battle you beat the crap out of his guards and him, naturally, and then it was interrogation time.
When all the information Ezio gathered was to his satisfaction, he lovingly put them to sleep with a hidden blade under his sleeve. Awww *sniffles* So here we are with the third installment Assasin’s Creed 3. Connor is privileged to acquire bows, guns, and eeek! (I’m so excited) the Tomahawk. Plus more. (I hope you can scalp, am I bad?) Scale trees in the forest, climb high bluffs and overlook urban streets and dreadful battlefields. Find the real truth behind the American Revolutionary War, your teachers didn’t want you to know. Intense historic battles are involved, including the battle of Bunker Hill!
Assassin’s Creed 3, introduces the new “Anvil Next” game engine that makes hunting your prey in the snow laden woods a truly mouth dropping experience. Witness the Great Fire of New York with in depth video graphics and sounds so real you may be checking your smoke alarms at home. This is YOUR people, this is YOUR land, and no one will take them from you. With the mind set of live as a free man or die, The American Colonies have no idea what’s in store for them. Muahahahaha!
