One of the greatest things about gaming in the age of the internet is that you can get additional content from certain providers for games that you love without having to go and buy an expansion from the store. A lot of times the new downloadable add-on content for games is available for free and might even tease you about a new version that could be available soon. Today, we see that new DLC is available for the game Assassin’s Creed 3 on the PS3 console. The content has to do with the store of Benedict Arnold which you might remember if you paid any sort of attention in your history class.
Sony and Ubisoft have teamed up to bring you the new content that takes place during four missions with a special request from George Washington in exposing a plot to overthrow West Point, which is a critical link in the defense of the Colonies against Great Britian. Again, this could all seem familiar if you paid attention in history, but knowing the back story is NOT required to play the new content that is for sure.
The Playstation Blog said Connor will flush out Loyalists spies and word undercover to stop an assault on West Point that he must stop at all costs. If you have the Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass you will notice that this is the second of the five planned downloadable content packs. This content pack will only be available on the Playstation 3 when the game launches on the 30th of October.
Sony and Ubisoft did not really get into any great details about the DLC, but did say that activities in the “Expose Benedict Arnold” DLC range from the mundane all the way up to the epic. I guess you will have to download the content to see what you think.
