Previously gamers had two options if they wanted to play Resident Evil 6 before its October 2nd release date: you could either buy a copy of Dragon’s Dogma and get the included demo, or you could hit up some Polish thieves. If you’d prefer to avoid those two options, Capcom is giving you a third chance to experience RE6 before the game launches.
The Resident Evil 6 demo will hit Xbox Live and PSN on September 18th, just two weeks before the full game arrives in stores. The new demo is apparently different from the one that was bundled with Dragon’s Dogma, which was based off the E3 build. Apparently the new demo is based on a final build of the game, and hosts a number of improvements over the earlier version of the game that I played (and liked) that most people seem to have hated for some reason.
Anyway, bad demos or not, I’m still super hyped for RE6. I’m a big Resident Evil fanboy, and I played through the RE1 remake and Resident Evil 4 again over the summer just to prepare myself. Resident Evil 6 comes out on October 2nd for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
