Ever Wonder What It Would Be Like to Own a Unicorn?

Ever Wonder What It Would Be Like to Own a Unicorn?

Richard Dang 27 Apr

Ultimately, buying a One X is like getting a unicorn — its wild, fast, white, beautiful, expensive and fickle.”

                                                                                — Engadget

The iPhone 4S by Apple now has some competition, the HTC One X. Coming in both black or white, the One X weighs 130 g (with battery) and is 134.4 (H) x 69.9 (W) x 8.9 mm (D). Being one of the first quad-core HTC phone, it comes with a 1.5 GHz quad-core NvidiaTegra 3 CPU (or 1.5 Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4) chip, 1 GB RAM and a Nvidia ULP GeForce GPU. The One X will be released in North America on May 6th, 2012 which is very near and anticipating. Like many of today’s smartphones the One X will be running on Android 4.0 mobile operating system with HTC Sense 4.0 GUI.

If you are planning to purchase this phone, make sure you’re with the right provider because the One X will only be used on AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, and Fido carriers. Nothing screams buy me like a 4.7″ IPS multi touch capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. The screen will have a resolution of 720×1280 pixels covered by gorilla glass. It also comes with up to 32 GB internal memory depending on the model of the carrier. The battery used is a standard 1800mAh Lithium Polymer battery.

Not only is this a top notch smart phone, it also has Beats Audio for authentic sound when listening to music on the go with your phone. A more impressive feat by HTC is the quality of pictures taken by the One X’s 8 MP back camera. The One X also has a 1.3 MP font facing camera that can take 720p video calls. It can take 1080p HD videos and has continuous shooting which allows you to hold the shutter button and the camera captures every picture until you let go. It also allows you to take pictures and videos at the same time for your convenience.

HTC One models: HTC One S (Left), HTC One X (Center), HTC One V (Right)

If you want to check out other similar models to the HTC One X, there is the HTC One XL, S, and V models. Another bonus HTC has included with the purchase of this phone is a 25GB Dropbox account for 2 years integrated into HTC Sense. The One X will retail at about $549 on release and is great competition for both Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus and Apple’s iPhone 4S, so if you’re in the market for a new smartphone, choose wisely!
