I don’t know about you, but I liked Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. A lot of hardcore Castlevania fans hate on it unfairly because of its rebooted canon and the lack of involvement from traditional series producer Koji Igarashi (who has helmed the series every since the PS1’s Symphony of the Night,) but I thought it was a well above-average action platformer, and it was easily the series’ best foray into 3D. Well, like-minded fans rejoice, because members of Lords of Shadow’s development team are hinting that a new Castlevania is just around the corner.
The producer of the original Lords of Shadow, David Cox, tweeted this not so subtle hint earlier today: “Today and tomorrow I am in the land of Dracul… What am I doing there?? You will see….”
While Cox seems eager to spill the beans regarding a new Castlevania, Konami themselves have yet to officially confirm the project. Again, as a fan of the original game, I’m pretty psyched to hear that there’s more Lords of Shadow on the way, especially after the slightly predictable but still cool twist at the end of the original game. With PAX East looming and E3 only a few months away, I’m sure we want have to wait long before we hear more.

I’ll be sure to buy the best edition of this game if it actually the successor to Lords of Shadow.
