Yesterday was a great day, Gearbox software finally blew the lid off Borderlands 2 and damn, that trailer was incredible. This trailer has set the tone for an incredible upcoming game, and certainly makes my September 2012 a little more exciting. With a 3 minute video showcasing everything that Borderlands is about, it hard to find anything that concerns me. With constant action, tonnes of gameplay, gorgeous visuals, new characters, and showing off all four new classes this trailer delivered on all levels.
It felt completely self contained, as if this is all I need to see from now until launch date. This trailer should be an example of what gamers are looking for when developers finally let the lid off what they have been working on. Borderlands 2 launches September 18th 2012, so you have more than enough time to join the party if you happened to miss the first game. It was a bit of a sleeper hit, that went on to win many awards, and create and incredible fan base that ate up the shooter-meets-loot-fest concept. Borderlands is one of those prime examples of mash ups done right, enjoy the trailer and prepare for an incredible game this fall.
