If you grew up watching anime, chances are you spent a good chunk of your childhood punching air and tossing imaginary kamehameha’s in front of your TV while watching Dragonball Z. If so, get ready to relive your childhood in a brand new, equally embarrassing manner, as it looks like a brand new Dragon Ball Z game is being designed specifically for Microsoft’s Kinect.
I’ve never been a big fan of Microsoft’s controller-less casual games gateway, but Dragonball Z Kinect might just be enough to force me to pick up the peripheral (and figure out how to rearrange my room so I have enough space to use it.) I’m sure my fellow fans of Akira Toriyama’s influential classic are already letting their imaginations run wild with how the game will utilize the Kinect: throwing a flurry of punches, yelling out the names of special attacks, charging up kamehameha’s, etc. My inner child is already wetting himself with glee.
Before you get too excited, it should be noted that nothing is official yet: the only information we have about this (possible) game is that Bandai Namco submitted the title for approval by the Korean Game Ratings Board (the South Korean equivalent of the ESRB or PEGI parental ratings system.) It might be awhile before we find out more about this game, but that should give you enough time to get your gi dry cleaned and buy enough hair gel to properly look the part.
