So, you may have heard of this new RPG called Skyrim, its been doing quite well I guess you could say. No, jokes aside, Skyrim is perhaps one of the best gaming accomplishments our industry has been provided with in recent years. The sheer amount of time and love spent in the creation of Skyrim has made it a mainstay for many months beyond release, and for many months to come. Although DLC plans have not been officially decided, some interesting concepts may be in the works
Bethesda has major plans for the continuation of their epic RPG, but for now all the ideas are on the table and some interesting stuff is starting to surface. During a session at 2012, Todd Howard has exposed some ideas that my be considered for DLC going into the future. Most of these ideas have come from PC mods, but internally at Bethesda, some of the ideas may actually see the light of day in the near future. One idea that immediately stood out to me was dragon mounts, now that just sounds ridiculous. Not to mention, look at the last listed item, Goblins anyone?
Here is the full list below:
Dragon mounts
Dark dungeons
Adoption of children
Advanced home building
Epic new mounts
Fast travel portals
Kinect dragon shouts
Enhanced water visuals
Ice and fire arrows
Lycanthrope perk tree
Vampire imp minions
Goblins
Kill cams for magic
Water arrows
Giant mud crabs
Paralysis runes
Seasonal foliage
Speedy water currents
If Skyrim happens to be your kind of thing, you may just find that list above quite interesting. Has anyone else stumbled across a PC Mod worth bringing to the masses on console as well?
Chris Hernandez
Most of the list seems like something that could be in an update, like various arrows, seasonal foliage and better water textures, very few people would pay for that I think.
Though I am totally down for being able to ride a dragon or other epic creature mounts, still not something I’d pay more than $1 for though, if even that.
I want a new area to explore if I’m going to pay for additional content.
