I wrote on this day coming around two weeks ago, and the time has come. The english-language eroge visual novel, in the making by an independant team for five years, has been completed. Torrent links for the freeware visual novel can be found on the official site here.
Gaming news has been quite abuzz with the release of this rather ambitious project. Visual novels are a medium that most people haven’t even heard of unless that are to a fair level of otaku or frequent the Japanese-centric boards on 4chan. I have a feeling this might have a degree of influence on the use of visual novels as a medium.
