Aside from the anticipated re-release of Sonic CD, Major Nelson’s blog now features information on a Sonic the Hedgehog game sale taking place on Xbox Live.
Five classic Sonic games are included in part nine of the “Xbox 12 Days of Deals” sale, along with the more recent Sonic 4, Episode 1 throwback. Sale prices are all 60% off the original, ranging between 160 and 320 Microsoft points. Whether you’re a Sonic expert looking for some simple achievements, or (somehow) missed the original three games, these are some excellent deals to help expend some extra points.

Sonic the Hedgehog: 160 points (from 400 points)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: 160 points (from 400 points)
Sonic the Hedgehog 3: 160 points (from 400 points)
Sonic Adventure: 320 points (from 800 points)

Of course, the recently reloaded Sonic CD’s price tag of 800 points remains in place. Still, we might see a decent sale on that classic in the future.
