In a very insulting move towards European gamers, Sony Europe has clarified that they have no plans to release Gran Turismo 5 spec 2 in the PAL region. There has been confusion among gamers in Europe after the box art for GTA5s2 was revealed for Japan, wondering if it would ever come.
Despite a population 6 times that of Japan, Europe is getting the shaft on a racing game, which is likely the easiest thing in the world to translate or adapt to the many languages spoken in Europe. Spec 2 remains as a free download to those who have purchased GT5 and possess an internet connection. Japan’s release date for GT5 Spec 2 is February 2nd for those curious.
I’m not certain if GTA5s2 is region-locked, due to the PS3 being natively region-free, if anyone can tell me if yes or no that would be grand To be honest I am fairly disgusted by this, the potential sales from Japan are many times lower than you would get in Europe by a longshot, I don’t know their logic of this.
