Most gamers lookng forward to Sony’s latest portable, the PS Vita, are well aware of the two month span between the Japanese released of the handheld and the North American launch. Some may be unaware, however, that the PSVita is actually region free, unlike the 3DS, and fewer still may be aware of the fact that Uncharted: Golden Abyss will be available in English shortly after the Japanese launch. English-only speaking importers may need to fear not.
In a fact sheet published by Sony Computer Entertainmnet Hong Kong it was detailed that the highly anticipated launch title would have both Chinese and English language options. Whether this means there will be English subtitles with Japanese or, less likely, Chinese voice acting; or if it means complete English voice acting as well is still to be speculated.
Still, if it is only subtitles I’m sure any seasoned gamer could figure out what buttons do what and wouldn’t really be missing out on the story, though they may want to turn down the volume during dialogue if hearing another language is bothersome while reading.
The PS Vita launches in Japan December 17 and Uncharted: Golden Abyss is set for a December 23rd release in Hong Kong(the version that has English), while North Americans unwilling to pay the premium to import will have to wait until February to get their hands on this nice piece of tech.
I personally believe Uncharted will most certainly have the English voice acting, as it would be far too much work to record Chinese voices and would be uncommon if done so.

Thanks for the info. I think I’ll wait and be sure it has full English voice acting though. The story and voice acting in Uncharted are just too important.
