Ninja Gaiden, the 2004 Xbox game, has been re-released at least two times so far with Black and Sigma, but with PS Vita right around the corner a third re-release of the popular ninja series is almost done, though originally thought to be Ninja Gaiden 3 that would be released on the handheld. Coming February, in Japan, and shortly before the North American PS Vita console release, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus expands upon the already plentiful additions of the PS3 version.
Along with all other content from previous releases, Plus will include two new modes: “the Way of the Ninja”, which forces players to use specific weapons or tactics to complete a mission; and “Hero Mode”, which is a feature being added to Ninja Gaiden 3 that is meant as a n00b mode for newcomers to the notoriously difficult series.
Of course with new hardware comes even more features, such as the use of the gyroscope for aiming and the rear touch screen for powering up ninja abilities.
Remember, the Vita is region free so even if it is not out in English speaking areas you can always import it just in time for the North American launch.
