HTC Zeta Images And Specifications Leaked

HTC Zeta Images And Specifications Leaked

Alex 17 Nov

Leaked pictures and specifications of the new HTC Zeta emerged on the Internet recently. All these details are not official but are from credible sources. Leading the specifications list is the monstrous 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM. The processor puts this phone far ahead of anything in the market today and even rivals many of the lower end laptop/PC processors from AMD and Intel.  The device is topped off with a 4.5 inch display of 1280×720 resolution. Among other juicy details, the Zeta will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and will come with pre-installed Sense 4.0 UI.

The dimensions of the device are 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8 mm and weighs in at 146 grams. The storage capacity of this phone is a healthy 32 GB along with a microSD slot, which potentially allows for 64 GB of space, something equalled only by the iPhone. It will also feature an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and video recording at 1080 pixels. A 1.3 MP front camera is also rumoured to be included, as well as Beats Audio speakers borrowed from the Sensation line. The battery clocks in at 1830 mAh.

The back side of the phone features a pinch cushion design which is thin at the edges but bulges in the centre. A peculiar quirk of this phone is the presence of keys below the display, which were thought to have been outmoded by Android ICS. Ice Cream Sandwich phones are not supposed to have physical buttons, however, it seems like HTC have made a choice to continue with buttons. On the back side, the top half has the camera, flash and the loudspeaker whereas the bottom part has the Beats logo and a headphone jack. The volume control buttons are on the right side of the phone.

As mentioned earlier, the details may not be the actual ones, since there is some doubt about the veracity of the leaked images and specifications. The name may also be a provisional one. However, the design and images don’t have the usual tell tale signs of photoshopping as pointed out by many enthusiasts, which points towards authenticity.
