On Saturday, a truck in Créteil, France carrying over 6,000 copies of Modern Warfare 3 was stolen by two masked people. As French news outlets Ultimate PS3 and TFI reported, the truck crashed into a car, and as the truck driver exited to check on the driver of the car, the two masked men threw tear gas and then immediately took off with the games. The total shipment was estimated to be worth approx. 400,000 euros ($551,000 USD).
So, if you happen to be in France and see some guys selling copies of the game for real cheap you should probably try to see if you can get some type of reward from the police and then report them. Otherwise, you can only hope that your pre-order was not effected! If you do find yourself with an early copy be warned, as Activision has stressed that anyone playing the game early could find their accounts banned without notice.
