There was almost no doubt in my mind that Batman: Arkham City would be a commercial success. Highly praised with some stunning game play, it truly does deserve every accolade it has received. It really comes down to numbers though, especially to the big guys upstairs, and the numbers seem promising. Warner Brothers has announced that 4.6 million copies of Arkham City has been shipped out in its first week.
Please be advised that while 4.6 is a rather large number, that wasn’t how many copies sold but have shipped. While there is no doubt in my mind that these copies will sell, they have not yet. Official sales numbers will probably be released sometime in November.
If you guys haven’t gotten Arkham City just yet, shame on you.
