Don’t fret, I wont repeat it here in raw text. Another addition to my This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things tag, the BBFC, who are in charge of rating videogames and movies in the United Kingdom, which unlike the US has legal requirements on enforcing them. Their rating of Arkham City which is looking to be one of the best superhero games creates details the basic idea of the game and then ruins a plot point.
In the UK, Batman – Arkham City will be rated with a 15, which is given to violent titles, but not to games that cross into sadomasochistic, extreme, sexual, or dismembering violence. Even though it states that Batman – Arkham City isn’t very strong on the blood or violence on the level of say, Resident Evil (which is also rated 15 and is very violent in terms of blood), it does describe in some detail a graphic violence scene which is the major spoiler, you can read it here if you don’t mind spoilers: http://i.imgur.com/QbImw.jpg (This highlights the spoiler, you have been warned)
So there you have it, in the BBFC’s crusade against protecting children, they went and spoiled a key plot point before the game was even released. They could have done this in several better ways, such as keeping the character’s identity ambiguous, blacked it out like is done in TVTropes, or simply not mentioned it happened at all. I do understand quite well that there are more people out there concerned about age ratings than myself and they want to know the details, but that is just a sheer violation of spoiler etiquette.

I still hang people who spoil the true identity of Archer in Fate/Stay Night even though it came out years ago.
