Through Dead Island’s official Facebook page Deep Silver has announced that the first instalment of DLC will be delayed. Bloodbath Arena is going to be the first major addition to the zombie slayer adventure, but you won’t get to experience it until mid November. The reason: the main game still needs more polish.
Though Dead Island came out early last month to fairly positive response it seems Deep Silver is not content with the quality of the game. A patch is being worked on to update the game to a more polished level “to make sure that every Dead Island fan will receive the best experience possible on every platform”
The DLC was originally expected to release sometime this October and would contain 4 unique single and multi-player environments for players wanting more zombie slaughter action. The pack will be $10 (PSN/PC) or 800MSP(Xbox 360) unless you pre-ordered at certain locations or purchased the Special Edition of the game. In addition to the new areas players also get a brand new weapon called the brain wave bomb. Sounds messy.
As you may know DLC is not the only Dead Island content to be excited for as Lionsgate owns the right to bring the title to the silver screen.
I personally believe this is a good move for Deep Silver, who can complain about a better quality game even if it means waiting to spend more money on it, what do you think?

The reception of Dead Island is pretty wild, some love it, some hate it, and many point out its flaws but a few tweaks here and there wouldn’t kill anyone.

I agree, I have no issues with waiting for more content if it means the game I already bought is being updated for the better.
