Andy Codina 11 Oct

The decade long joint venture, of Japanese tech giant Sony and Swedish telecommunications standout Ericsson, is coming to a somewhat graceful end. Sony is closing in on their plans to buy out their partner company Ericsson to take full control of their mobile business.

Sony Ericsson was plagued with the kind of insanely complicated problems where you don’t know where to point fingers because both companies are to blame. Yes, it was that kind of venture for these two modern technological giants but all of that will be coming to a glorious end as Sony has announced that it will be taking control of its partner company Ericsson by 2012.

At sixth place in the mobile industry, Sony Ericsson has suffered from not being able to fully integrate the rest of the Sony brand with their mobile products. There are thousands of rumors flying on how this came great merger came to be a failure but this drastic move of Sony to purchase the Swedish mobile company will give the company the freedom to integrate their upbeat technologies into their mobile products, especially with Sony’s tablet range where it has seen to be the company’s rapidly expanding market.
