Starting four days ago TV Tokyo, a popular television channel in Japan, started airing a 16 part TV Drama set in the Uncharted universe. English speaking fans of the series are not missing out on anything as this is not live action or even new content. The series is created from four-minute, edited clips of Uncharted 2.
In addition to those clips episodes will show an Uncharted fan playing through the game with his girlfriend, who is not a gamer at all. I am sure hilarity ensues.
I suspect that this series is to catch gamers up with the events that passed in the previous game before Drake’s Deception is released. I am not sure how well the Uncharted titles sold in Japan but if sales were poor then this would certainly explain the reason for such a series to exist.
The drama will be airing almost daily until it’s completion on October 27 . And finally, for our slower readers, 16 (parts) x 4 (minutes each) =64 (minutes, a little over an hour)
