New Inspiron One 2320 All In One from Dell

New Inspiron One 2320 All In One from Dell

Alex 06 Oct

The last few weeks or so has been quite exciting as far as the all-in-ones are concerned with veteran giants HP and Toshiba modifying their comprehensive line-up while Samsung decided to take the plunge into the market with a new release. Today, another device forayed into the market and this time it is by Dell.

Dell has just announced a new model in the all-in-one series and this one is labelled the Inspiron One 2320. The fact that it is a good 23” big shows in the model number itself but what is more striking is the similarity between this one and the ones HP had released last month; the display style and the space under it to store the keyboard are common features between the two. The difference, which goes in HP’s favour, is that the Dell version has no tilting screen, which means that users’ viewing angles will be seriously limited.

The technical specifications of the Inspiron One 2320 are quite impressive. It features a brilliant 1080p touch screen with the Intel Wireless Display function. For an extra price, users can avail the Nvidia GeForce GT525M discrete graphics too. Hardware wise, there are 6 USB ports and an HDMI port and hard disk space that can be extended to 2TB. The base model is priced at $950 and comes with an Intel Core i5-2400S processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 1TB of hard disk space, which can be upgraded to the top notch Core i7-2600S and 8GB of RAM. The system comes bundled with high end JBL speakers for high quality audio and will go on sale from today through the online store.

Dell has gone for a sleek, modern aesthetic design and has gotten rid of all wires except the power cord in this model. This one can also be wall mounted for easy use especially in places which are short of space, according to the press release by Dell. It might be late in the market but it should offer decent competition and it will be interesting to see how the prices play out a few months down the line.
