The Battlefield 3 beta has been under way for about four days now and already some of EA’s servers have been hacked to support up to 128 players, however, those taking part in those “unofficial servers” could get the ban hammer on their EA account.
UPDATE: Some users are reporting seeing servers with players of over 250 players!
The Rush and Operation Meta maps are available in the beta, which bother support up to 32 players officially, but if you see any servers supporting 64-128 players then make sure you know that you are joining them at your own risk. Although, I don’t see how EA’s poor security should be our problem and should be able to enjoy it while it lasts but, I guess they don’t feel the same way.
Battlefield 3 blog has snapped a screenshot (above) of one of the hacked Battlefield 3 beta servers, which has been given a somewhat aggressive name.
