This October Crytek will be releasing the critically acclaimed Crysis to consoles. One of the few PC titles to really push the limits of hardware for it’s time is getting an upgrade, as the single player campaign has been completely rebuilt in the CryENGINE 3, which was uses for Crysis 2. In addition to the upgraded graphics engine the game will also feature new nano controls and 3D support.
Though no exact date has been provided for next months release it is known that Crysis will cost $19.99 on PSN and 1600MSP on Xbox Live. The pricing certainly pushes the boundaries of cost for a downloadable title on either service, but considering the work done to remaster it, instead of simply up-scaling the resolution, I would say it is worth it.
Again this is only the single player campaign and there is no word as to whether any sort of multiplayer will be bundled with it, or even how much hard drive space this will use.
