If you don’t know yet, EA Sports have released the demo version of FIFA 2012 for the PC and Xbox 360 earlier today, with the PS3 version to follow tomorrow. With this move being made by EA, Konami now steps up to the plate and announces the second demo version for PES 2012 will be out tomorrow – talk about cut throat competition. Konami has played this one on the front foot the whole way. After releasing a rather dubious first demo early last month with the game due to be published in mid October, it always seemed that Konami had something up their sleeves – and we see that now.
When you talk about clever plays, this might just very well be the best one. After releasing a first demo based more on a preview of PES 2012, Konami waited for EA’s move to release the demo version for their football (soccer) game title – FIFA 2012. Right after today’s release, Konami announced through newsletters and posts on their website the availability of PES 2012’s Demo version tomorrow (September 14). This comes to be rather an obvious counter punch to EA with the announcement having been made right after their release.
FIFA 2012’s demo version includes six teams: Manchester City, Barcelona, Arsenal, Olympique Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan. A rather hefty line up compared to the first PES 2012 demo, which only showcased four teams: Manchester United, AC Milan, FC Porto and Napoli, not to mention the inability to skip the intro cinematic. The second PES 2012 demo version will feature five teams: Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Internacional (Brazil), Inter Milan, and Club America with improved AI’s, goalkeeper AI, better gameplay and most off all, ability to skip the intro cinematic without having to use a third party program(PC).
