They’re high. The recommended and minimum requirements for RAGE follow as was revealed recently. This thing is well beyond what my laptop is capable of and that’s not a small feat considering I just upgraded it with my cash last week.
Minimum:
OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
Memory: 2GB
Hard Disk Space: 25GB
Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200
Recommended:
OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
Memory: 4GB
Hard Disk Space: 25GB
Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550
Quite a lot of power needed to run this, the quad core Intel Core 2 can hit speeds of 3.5ghz, which is a rather ridiculous speed and level of power that demands a top-shelf cooling system. The memory is also pretty crazy at 4GB.
You might need to get a few upgrades for your PC if you want to play RAGE at a lossless framerate and high quality graphics. Also, speaking from experience of building a high-end machine, make sure you shell out good money for a cooling system. Computers these days can overheat quite easily when taxed to their limits.
