Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is only a mere three months away, which may be too long for some, and the Collector’s Edition has finally been unveiled by Bethesda. As has become custom now both the standard and collector’s editions of the game will include a map. In addition to the detailed map, this edition will also include:
- 12” Alduin Statue: A 12” tall statue made of high quality PVC. Modeled from actual in-game 3D digital files, it showcases the dragon Alduin, the World Eater.
- ‘The Art of Skyrim’ coffee table book: Featuring over 200 pages of striking, full-color illustrations, sketches and models, this stunning 9 3/8” x 12 1/8” coffee table book showcases the characters, creatures, environments, and weaponry of Skyrim. With a foreword by game director Todd Howard and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.
- ‘The Making of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ DVD This documentary DVD contains exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, including interviews with the Bethesda Game Studios team as they take you from concept to creation much like the DVD that was included in the Oblivion Special editions.
This will retail for $150 and is released on November 11 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, just like the standard edition is. Bethesda suggests that there will be in very limited numbers, and may only have enough to cover pre-orders, the exact number has yet to be confirmed.
I have already guaranteed my copy, have you?

I really, really, really wish I could get into the Elder Scrolls games, but no matter what I just can’t. I prefer to have a set goal and many paths to choose.

Sounds like you prefer Elder Scrolls by that description. You have a main quest and you can branch off from there at any time, but there is always the main quest(set goal) to follow.

Yeah, but everything else is just so dull and repetitive. Take a look at Mount & Blade, every single country has the same problem. The rightful heir is not on the throne, his sister was declared a bastard, and you have to reinstate them. They never flesh these things out enough in my opinion.
