ZUN, the developer of the popular bullet hell shooter series known as the Touhou Project has shown off a picture of the jewel case. The resolution of the image is low, and as is expected of most of the main games, shows the title, and a silhouette of one of the characters. If the theme of the previous games box art is to be believed, then it’s a silhouette of the Extra Stage boss, who is of unknown name and identity just now. some fans have commented that she resembles Merlin Prismriver, but close inspection shows that she appears to have two horns (or a hat which is more likely).
The blog entry can be read here, and even though my Japanese isn’t that great, and ZUN’s style of writing is very hard for a non-native speaker to make sense of, I can discern that Ten Desires may be released at Comiket 80 tomorrow. Good news that, I’ll likely get a hold of it and write a review on the game since I am a pretty big fan of the Touhou series. ZUN often releases the game’s three-stage trial at a Touhou convention in spring, but due to the earthquake in Japan this was cancelled and instead the trial was put up for free download. (any of the links in the green box below the orange text is a link to the demo)
The time in Japan as of posting is Saturday 8:30, so if I have made sense of his blog right, then someone can run to Comiket and get a hold of it within a few hours from now. Awesome news.

SHOCK! HORROR! The cover girl this time around is actually the final boss! Of course that was also done on Imperishable Night.
