For those of you who can’t enjoy the Android 2.3 Gingerbread experience due to cash constraints, LG has come up with a solution. LG has announced the launch of 2 entry level Gingerbread capable mobiles for those with shallow pockets. These phones get added to the existing Optimus line, and they are called the Optimus Pro and the Optimus Net. Both of them run on a 1500mAh battery and an 800 MHz CPU for maximum performance in their respective class.
The Optimus Net, known as the LG-P690, is a fully touchscreen mobile phone, with a 320×480 3.2 inch HVGA display. The Optimus Net features the new LG Social+ feature. This allows for convenient multi-tasking between your favourite social networking websites via a widget available on the homescreen. It also supports 1 click photo sharing on all popular social network accounts. The Optimus Net will feature dual SIM capability as well. The North American version will come bundled with a QWERTY keypad and will be available in black or white.
The Optimus Pro, also named LG-C660, is a candybar phone which supports input via both touchscreen and QWERTY keypad. The Optimus Pro features a 2.8 inch display along with dedicated hotkeys for Scheduler and Email, for instant access to either. It will be available in a choice of three colours- black, titan and white.
