Even though Sony only recently updated the PSN store yesterday, they are teasing with what they are saying is a fantastic import title for release on the Playstation Network. PSOne Classics gets more added to it every week at a low price much like how GOG.com works with its business model.
The company MonkeyPaw Games has stated they will be releasing the title next week and plan to give some hints via Twitter to give a clue of what it might be. The previous titles given to PSN by MonkeyPaw are Arc the Lad and the action-RPG Alundra, both absolutely amazing games.
The first hint given is “It’s going to be a 2D Shooter”, this rules out a huge amount of games that I’m aware of on the PSX that are imports as well as being a classic. I was secretly hoping for the Lunar games but I guess not. My guess is aimed at the vertical bullet hell shooter Night Raid, which I have attached a video of below if you want to see it, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be a completely new title (for the US anyway) or something that was released before.
That is honestly the only one I can honestly think of, I wasn’t a shooter fan for quite a while and even now the only ones I like are Touhou and Ikaruga. Once they spill the beans on what it is, I’ll have the news in another article along with every detail I can dig up about the game itself as I do when I can.
