The studio that created Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, Naughty Dog said in an interview with the magazine Game Informer that they might work on another Jak and Daxter game.
Jak and Daxter is a third-person shooting game that can be easily compared to games like Ratchet and Clank, where a single person has an entire arsenal of weapons for all-round destruction of anything and everything that is even remotely hostile, a popular series with quite a few games to it. Evan Wells, the co-president of Naughty Dog said this.
“What I hear a lot recently, is to make another Jak & Daxter game. My answer always is we’d love to do it, there’s a lot of love for the franchise and it has a special place in our hearts for sure, but we’re sort of heads down, working on one game at a time now and are focusing on Uncharted, but we’d love to go back to it at some point.”
It might be a long time before they even consider it since they dedicate their resources and are working Uncharted for all it’s worth, but another entry in the Jak and Daxter series for the PS3 would be incredibly welcome. There’s not much you can do to improve on shooting platformers outside of giving the player progressively bigger and better guns to use against bigger and better enemies in larger amounts.
