Sony announced yet another update for the Playstation 3 consoles, which should be arriving very soon. In case you were wondering what it adds it’s not much. As posted on the Playstation Blog it will improve “system stability during use of PS3 format software and network services”. That’s it. Hopefully when it does come it won’t take more than a couple minutes to download and install, which is notoriously never the case for these frequent updates.
I suspect this update will enhance certain network security features which many people feel should be improved upon after the hack. Though it is disappointing that no new features are available yet, nor have any been announced, though most people are still demanding some sort of party chat features.
