Black Ops’ Annihilation Pack Detailed

Black Ops’ Annihilation Pack Detailed

Chris Hernandez 20 Jun

For many the Escalation Map Pack is likely getting old already, especially if you just bought it for the new Zombies map, but Treyarch and Activision have your back. Four new multiplayer maps as well as a new zombie map are making their way to a marketplace near you June 28th on Xbox Live.

The first map, Hangar 18, plays into many conspiracy theories by having many hidden treats throughout the medium-sized map. It appears to force players toward the hangar with all paths leading to it, likely for strategic significance.

next up Silo, one of the largest maps in the game, is based off the Russian underground silo, construction site. There are plenty of ways to take someone down in this one, so you must either have great accuracy or be even better at dodging what you can’t see. There are tons of open areas with various vantage points making it highly difficult to stay in any one place for too long.

Hazard, a created almost exclusively for long-ranged combat will put gamers sniping skills to the test. It’s a medium sized map that is a re-imagined golf course that a Cuban dictator may have. Certainly not for those weak with long-range weapons.

Net up, Drive-In, the smallest of all the maps is fairly basic and will feature a nice opened centre area for close range engagement.

Finally Shangri-La, the newest Zombie map, will be set in a mysterious jungle loaded with traps to both assist and hinder your zombie massacre. It will feature many choke points but ultimately there is going to be a way to quickly escape from these situations when things get too messy. You can even ride a mine-cart type life. It will be a change from those accustomed to the more wide-open layout of Call of the Dead.

Wrriten words still won’t do it justice, so we have included the official trailer for the pack, that will retail for 1200MSP and $15 on the PSN(which will be at a later date)
