Often considered the best Final Fantasy game by a significant portion of fans, Final Fantasy VI was released on the Playstation 3 and PSP via the Playstation Network for Europeans, priced at a mere €9.99/£7.99.
Released originally in the US as Final Fantasy 3, since the US missed out on the original releases of 2, 3, and 5, Final Fantasy 6 has been re-released since on the Gameboy Advance, and now it’s available on the Playstation Network at a very reasonable price. The game is notable for it’s extremely large cast of characters, a villain who actually wreaked havoc straight from the beginning and stayed that way. If you’re in Europe and have PSN, get this, you wont be let down at all.
If you’re outside of Europe or don’t want it on your console, you can always pick up the Advance version for cheap at quite a lot of places. I’m not sure if this is a port of the Advance version or the PS1 version, but either way it’s worth getting. Hopefully a US release will soon follow suit, I really don’t get why it’s not getting a simultaneous release.
