Bethesda, creator of several non-linear RPGs such as Morrowind, has officially announced they will be releasing an anniversary edition of their release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a non-linear first-person RPG notable for its sheer size and depth.
The edition will include the Game Of The Year edition of Oblivion, a world map, a Making Of DVD, and a trailer for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If that’s not really tickling your fancy, it will also include a redeemable $10 coupon for Skyrim. A rather generous handout and well worth picking up if you’ve not played Oblivion before. It can be demanding on the system specs but it’s a genuinely awesome game once you get into it. However the non-linear gameplay of the Elder Scrolls series isn’t for everyone, and can seem drab and stale to some people.
The entire thing comes in a nice box with a slip cover, and will retail at a mere $30. A very good price for an amazing game. Now, only 200,000 of these are going to be made, and the original release of Oblivion sold several million copies. You don’t have to do much math to know this will be a pain to get. The $10 off on their anticipated title Skyrim. If you want to get Oblivion, now’s a good time.
