The F.E.A.R franchise has kind of been up and down over the past few years, with flashes of brilliance in the first title, but loosing a bit of focus in the sequel. FEAR 3 looks to line back up with it roots, and also provide some exciting new multiplayer options. Unfortunately if FEAR 3 was on your up and coming list you may be waiting longer then expected. Apparently May 2011 was starting to look pretty crowded with games like Brink and LA Noire on the rise as well. Looks like a busy May has worked out for the better, if anything FEAR 3 will now filling a missing game void in the month of June. The new official release date goes as follows:
North American Release: June 21st
Europe: June 27th
Now it looks like FEAR will only have to deal with the release of Duke Nukem Forever! Other then marketing, I cannot see any other reason why FEAR 3 would be pushed, hopefully it gets a fighting chance with this busy gaming summer.
