It is fitting that Final Fantasy V is going to be celebrating it’s fifth re-release when it is hits PSN this year. This news was confirmed by a British press release stating that will hit Europe this year with no firm release date and it will work on both the PS3 and PSP. No word whether this is the PSOne version of the game or not, but based on the sparse information one would deduce it to be such.
This version will likely feature updated graphics, better English translation and will retain the FMV footage as well. We will update you when a release date becomes known and it is a sure bet that it will hit western shores soon after its European launch.
I personally loved the GBA version most of all the remakes, but being able to play it on a big screen again with a few upgrades will be nice. What do you guys think, should this remake fever slow down or keep full steam ahead?
