This morning, in retaliation against Sony for it’s ongoing lawsuit against “PS3 hacker” George “Geohot” Hotz and lesser known Graf_Chokolo. A group called Anonymous has taken credit for the attack and since PlayStation Network suffers connection issues and all of Sony’s sites die across the internet.
Sony has acknowledged the PSN outages, however, they are just saying it’s due to “sporadic maintenance,” they are avoiding the issues with PlayStation.com and all other Sony-related sites being offline for most of the day.
Anonymous has been given speculative credit for the downtime, which seems likely given that this fits their modus operandi and all the sites went down at once. At least one Youtube user claiming to represent the group has named Anonymous as the cause.
I am not really sure what to think of this since all their sites and network shouldn’t be on the same servers but that’s that. What do you think of all of this?

This is really annoying, Alot of people are trying to get on the Ps3 for gamebattles and other clan events, and these hackers are defending another hacker. Hope they track these kids down.
