PlayStation 3 gamers in North America better get ready for the latest action offering from XSEED JKS Inc. as Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is all set to release exclusively on PlayStation 3. This release was confirmed after the update of the rating listing from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), which gave Wizardry a rating of T (Teen). The game is said to contain references to alcohol, fantasy violence, blood, and minimal language and nudity, which earned it the T rating.
Wizardly is a role-playing game that puts players into mazes where they are pitched to fight against enemies in a fantasy world. The game can be split into exploring the world and battles with the other characters. A myriad of dungeons and tunnels await players which lead to demons, zombies and the like, all of which are only still images.
This game was initially released in Japan on the 9th of December, 2009, more than a year ago. The Wizardry series is one of the first 3D role playing games set in dark dungeon like settings and is all set for a revival on the PS3. In fact, it can be downloaded too.
The broad system of the series is the same but The Labyrinth of Lost Souls comes with redefined graphics pertaining to the game world and the other characters. The graphics are set in High Definition and thanks to the impeccable performance of the PS3, they can be rendered perfectly. Moreover, the storyline, while having the same base, is tuned to 10 different characters so players can enjoy the game more than once.
Currently, the exact release date is unknown but the release of the rating by the ESRB implies that it is going to be soon. All that remains is the official announcement from the publisher, especially since avid gamers are eagerly awaiting its release.
