It’s a sad day when a great game such as Dragon Age 2 needs to have engineers boost the rating on, the popular game rating site, Metacritic. The BioWare employee has posted a positive review for the game with the username Avanost which he then linked to a Plurk account that revealed his name to be Christopher Hoban, a software engineer.
Many are complaining that this is a bad practice though, if he created multiple accounts then I would agree, but currently I don’t see the problem. In retaliation to this users are now trolling the user review section of the game and giving it really bad scores. Are you with the fans and see this as an unfair practice from the developer or do you think he should be allowed to rate a game high that he worked on?
One thing that we know is that EA is definitely not happy with this move from BioWare as they have to deal with consumer complaints. Despite all this, it doesn’t change the fact the game is still enjoyable.
