Mystery NGP Shooter Being Developed by Those That Made AvP

Mystery NGP Shooter Being Developed by Those That Made AvP

Chris Hernandez 08 Feb

Rebellions Asura engine, the one used on Aliens VS. Predator for the PS3 and Xbox 360, has been fully converted to create a NGP games. Rebellion have shown off a closed demo of the yet unnamed third person shooter, that they hope to be greatly successful on Sony’s new device.

The tech behind the engine will not be sold to other companies and Rebellion may instead use the head start to do contract work for interested companies. ““The technology, design and art teams have worked incredibly well with Sony’s newest device,” Rebellion’s co-founder Jason Kingsley told Develop. “We have managed to make our engine fully functional, and looking great on the hardware in double quick time. We’ll be attending DICE and GDC to show what we have created and look for business partners.”

I think this could just prove how powerful the NGP may be, and we can all hope that Sony does change the name before it is released.
