The Call of Juarez franchise will continue this summer with a new modern twist. Ubisoft has officially announced that Call of Juarez: The Cartel will be released Summer 2011 and will bring the heart of the wild west into a more modern shooter approach. The game will take place in modern day Juarez and Los Angeles and provide a “new and modern” setting for the fiction to continue.
I cant help but think this game will pull from alot of what games like Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty have already laid as a foundation in the world of shooters and westerns. Who knows, this industry survives on surprises and quality games. Lets hope Ubisoft has something up their sleeves for this summer, it would be nice to see a great addition in the Call of Juarez franchise. Hopefully some gameplay or a proper trailer will show up soon enough.
