Maxis has enjoyed plenty of success with their unique release of Spore which went under fire for being security free and is likely still one of the most pirated titles out there. That didn’t stop them from creating a spin-off entitled Darkspore which up until now had no set date. Coming this March 29th in NA and April 1st in EU players will get to hop back into the creative world that Spore began.
Maxis is currently soliciting beta applicants for Darkspore, and those interested in sampling the title pre-release can sign up at the beta program page and perhaps you can get an early taste of the hack and slash action. Maxis also wanted to say that is not a sequel or expansion to Spore but an entirely new game.
