If you’re not aware of the problems between Infinity Ward and Activision, this news may not be a surprise. According to some online sources Infinity Ward, along with Sledge Hammer and Raven Software, are working on the next COD installment potentially due out this November. Most COD fans could assume another installment in the Modern Warfare would be on its way eventually, but the status of the franchise has been rocky since the fall out between Infinity Ward and Activision last year.
I realize on an annual franchise many hands would come together to form a new title, but it just seems that 3 studios working on one game just comes off as chaotic. With Black Ops being such a huge success last November, you have to wonder do we really need more of the same so soon. This is all speculation until the official word is released at this years E3. Who knows we could all be wrong, and something new and fresh in the world of COD could be on the way.
