It may not come as a surprise when I say that Treyarch and Activision have a map pack on the way for all of you COD fans. This may be old news, considering the Xbox DLC exclusive was announced during the Microsoft E3 keynote last summer. Regardless this is great news for both online fanatics and Nazi zombie enthusiasts. The “First Strike” map pack will include five new maps, four will be used for traditional online play, and the fifth is a new zombie environment called “Ascension”. The other maps are as follows:
“Discovery” – Based on a mission with Reznov in an Antarctic research station.
“Kowloon” – This map takes place in Kowloon on the roof tops.
“Berlin Wall” – Described as a battle at “checkpoint Charlie”.
“Stadium” – Set in an American Hockey arena
“Ascension” – New zombie map.
The price for “First Strike” is 1200 MS points, or $15. This map pack will launch February 1st and will most likely sell a tonne pretty fast. Black Ops continues to dominate the online world, and more maps are always welcome. Lets just hope they are as memorable as the rest of the game. Unfortunately the rest of the gaming community will have to wait an extra month to check out “First Strike”.
