This week has been busy in the world of Bioware and Mass Effect. The long awaited installment on the PS3 was finally given a proper release date, and speculation of the continuation in the series has begun. First thing is first, Mass Effect will be hitting PS3 on January 18th and looks to be a full package. All DLC will be launched along the game in order to ensure that the whole ME2 can be experienced regardless of when you jumped into the series. Mass Effect 2 exists amongst the best of the best when it comes to current Xbox 360 games, so I can only hope that the same reception makes it way cross console.
The other half of our Mass Effect news today coincides with the VGA’s this weekend. This happens to be the time of year when everyone makes predictions of what they will see at this years awards. According to some inside sources, Bioware is gearing up for a proper announcement this weekend. Bioware in recent times has not been a developer that disappoints, this title should be amongst the best of there work considering the world and characters that they have already introduced us to. This could be considered a rumor, by this title would be on track for a next holiday release along side a title like Gears 3. That way all fronts are covered in the hardcore world for Microsoft. Who knows maybe Mass Effect 3 will launch on PS3 at the same time with the next launch, hopefully sales of ME2 reflect the demand for such a great game.
Check in with us this weekend for a full VGA update. News will be flowing all weekend long for the world of video games, and luckily we will be keeping you in check. Have you played Mass Effect 2?
